About Us

Prismatic Diving brings years of dive experience and a commitment to safe and supportive learning.

Growing up in the Florida Keys with years of free diving experience, Chris learned to Scuba in 1988 and has continued to build his expertise as an avid diver and instructor. 

Led by Chris Jones, certified PADI scuba diving instructor, (PADI #54444).

His deep passion for ocean exploration and conservation from the Florida Keys to the Great Barrier Reef.

He has experience and instructor rating in a wide variety of recreational scuba diving and safety courses.

Our teaching philosophy centers on safety, empowerment, and fostering a lifelong love for the ocean. With a background education, a passion for hands-on learning, Chris creates a welcoming environment for divers of all backgrounds.

Scuba diving is a destination sport, and Key Largo is the only barrier reef in North America. It’s easy to access and return via Miami International Airport (MIA), just a 1-hour drive south.

Key Largo offers warm waters, great seafood, and a welcoming laid-back atmosphere, making it the perfect place to learn to dive. With the barrier reef system, various wrecks, and intentionally sunk deep wrecks as artificial reefs, there is so much to explore and challenge your diving skills.

Seaweed Diver – We work closely with Seaweed Diver in New Albany, Indiana as our Local Dive Shop (LDS). The provide facilities and rental gear for training, and stock a wide selection of gear for our equipment needs (and wants).

PADI – PADI is the training agency that we believe provides the best quality standards and certification experience . With world wide recognition for diver safety, quality instruction and protecting our oceans and waterways they are seen by many as the “go-to” agency for certification.

Key Largo Undersea Park – Home of Jules Undersea Lodge, is a protected location for scuba certification when the weather doesn’t cooperate. Many scuba diver, instructors and even astronauts have trained in the unique location.

Mother Nature – With all of the best diving around the world comes the fact that we are visitors in a wild world. Mother Nature can be fickle at times. A dive site can be amazing one day and unreachable the next. All our packages have some contingency time built in for minor weather interference.
